Cat Footwear, an AMP3 PR client, has taken over The Corner Pop-Up space on Lexington & 47th Street in Midtown Manhattan for the entire month of October. The last few weeks of the month we’ve been hosting a series of private PR & consumer facing events to introduce the brand to NYC.
On October 8th & 9th we hosted the “White Heat” SS15 Presentation attended by editors, bloggers, and Cat Footwear retailers. 16 fully styled models were on hand to preview the SS15 collection while guests enjoyed cocktails & canapés, as well as music spun by DJ Jasper Stapleton.
October 11th was the “International Day of the Girl” shopping event at the pop-up. The International Day of the Girl is a day declared by the UN and intended to bring awareness to gender inequalities and injustices around the world. A portion of all Cat Footwear sales on this day were donated to E.P.I.C., the clean drinking water charity run by our Earthmovers, Alexi Panos & Tennille Amor.
On October 14th we hosted the “#ColoradoCouture” Art Event & AW14 Presentation. For this event we invited 5 NYC artists across different artistic mediums to use Cat Footwear’s iconic Colorado Boot as a canvas to create their own original art. We exhibited the works of Ivan Orama, Liz Lomax, Misha Tyutyunik, Amanda Dolan, and James Gulliver Hancock at the event. Additionally models were on hand to present the current AW14 Colorado Collection. Guests enjoyed cocktails & canapés, as well as music spun by DJ Jasper Stapleton.
On October 16th Cat Footwear Earthmover Tyler Hilton played a private concert for some of his biggest fans who won tickets through a social media contest run on Cat Footwear’s Facebook page. Additionally, Tyler’s performance attracted quite a street crowd, as it was piped out onto the sidewalk. The event was sponsored by William Wolf Whiskey, Hal’s NY Seltzer Water, and Pretzel Crisps. Two Fotofwd machines were on hand so that guests could print their Instagram photos when they used the event hashtag #CATbootsNYC.
On October 21st two of Cat Footwear’s favorite style bloggers, Adam Gallagher and Sazan Barzani, came out to host a shopping night for fans & consumers. While at the event they offered fashion tips and styling advice. Guests enjoyed whiskey tastings from Kings County Distillery master distiller (and Cat Footwear Earthmover) Nicole Austin as well as music spun by DJ Jasper Stapleton. Two Fotofwd machines were on hand so that guests could print their Instagram photos when they used the event hashtag #CATbootsNYC. The event was sponsored by Hal’s NY Seltzer Water and Pretzel Crisps.
