Vintage e-tailer (and AMP3 client) Spark Pretty arrived in NYC with their first brick-and-mortar pop-up space for Memorial Day weekend 2016, and they’ve been going full throttle ever since! The Spark Pretty pop-up shop was a celebration of all things 80’s and 90’s, including all of the signature apparel, accessories, and toys you remember from those epic decades. What a genius idea, right?
Following the press success and consumer demand from that first pop-up, owners Amanda Dolan and Meagan Colby responded with a month long pop-up in May 2017 themed around MTV’s 90’s Summer Beach House. Again they were a huge hit and were met with a strong consumer and media response including placements in Racked, Coveteur, AOL Style, Time Out New York, and The New York Times.
By June 2017 it was time for them to consider what their next move would be, and in what became an obvious decision, they decided that it was time for Spark Pretty to open a permanent store-front in NYC. Again AMP3 handled the promotion of their first official store, which opened in September 2017, and again the launch was a huge success. The recent opening received coverage in publications including Time Out New York, The New York Times, Racked, Fashionista, Cosmopolitan, Gothamist, and BuzzFeed. It also received broadcast coverage on Fox 5, NY1, Pix 11, and Telemundo.
The masterminds behind Spark Pretty, Amanda Dolan & Meagan Colby, met while working at Betsey Johnson and are as truly outrageous as the pop-culture items shoppers will be able to find in their store.
