On Thursday, November 30th the AMP3 teams hosted an influencer & media event for Simply Dresses, an accessibly priced dress brand that has the perfect look for every occasion. The event was held in a beautiful Chelsea loft from 6pm-8pm. Influencers, members of the media, and bloggers involved in fashion were invited to celebrate the brand’s NYC pop-up shop that Simply Dresses opened earlier this year at 130 W 42nd St.
The intimate event brought together around 65 members of the fashion community and served as an opportunity for guests to see the latest styles and try on as many dresses from the Simply Dresses collection as they liked, and then even take one (or a few) home with them. The event also had a variety of activities and photo ops for the guests to participate in as well as a musical performance. The Sip ‘n Shop event also included a beautifully catered selection of beverages and light bites.
There was a Prosecco bar that allowed guests to “Dress” their drink and create customized cocktails with fun toppings and juice blends. There was a live performance by Anna Shoemaker, a gif photo booth where everyone could make their own personalized gifs, a hedge wall that served as a great photo moment for guests to model their new Simply dresses that they got to take home with them. And finally, there was a jewelry bar to “Dress” up everyone’s looks with bracelets by Nicole Romano.
The event served as Simply Dresses’ first introduction to many of the guests, and a reminder to visit the pop-up shop one last time before its last day on December 9th. Simply Dresses is part of Occasion Brands and is one of the three brands Occasion has in their portfolio, the other two being Prom Girl and Kleinfeld Bridal Party. This one of a kind event was inspired by the pop-up shop, as the brand is generally an online only store and this was the brand’s first New York City brick-and-mortar shopping experience.
