AMP3 is thrilled to announce that its annual PR boot camp program, CAMP3, will be returning this year, but with a special twist: virtually! This complimentary fashion and beauty PR camp is usually hosted at our NYC office, but it is crucial that we are able to provide this learning opportunity for PR students amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Offering the camp online has allowed us to open the applications to interested PR students all over, rather than just those in the greater New York area.
CAMP3 will take place the week of July 27-31, 2020. We welcome interested students to apply here. Throughout the week, students will receive real world training from PR professionals and guest speakers. This year, the guest speakers include, Gabrielle Prescod, Senior Fashion Market Editor at BUSTLE, who will discuss the importance of traditional press and the do’s and don’ts of pitching, Lissette Calveiro, an influencer and social media coach who will debunk what it is like in the relatively new influencer/brand marketing space, and Amanda Lim, a celebrity stylist who will speak on how publicists and stylists work together to secure celebrity placements. Students attending CAMP3 will learn about pitch creation, social media marketing for brands, data analysis and the basics of celebrity placements. Additionally, Lauren Berger AKA The Intern Queen will discuss how to succeed at a PR internship and there will be a Q&A with Alyson Roy, AMP3’s co-founder.
With so many cancelled internship experiences due to COVID-19, the agency feels it is important to give back to the college students and recent graduates who want to continue learning during a time when many opportunities were put on hold. The virtual experience, which will be held via Zoom, allows for even more attendees than we have been able to host in the past. We are looking forward to seeing faces from all over!
