Sometimes we just need a weekend getaway, and not to a booming city or on a high intensity adventure trip, but instead to a place that will nourish and rejuvenate our souls, so that we’re ready to get back into the week when Monday rolls around.  If this sounds like you, then check out our list  of the Top 3 Small Town Travel Getaways

1.) Savannah, Georgia 

It’s a city with a small town feel. In historic Savannah, Georgia, there is much to do no matter your interest. For the foodie, take a leisurely walk around town and indulge in some signature Georgia peaches or step outside your comfort zone and try some fried Alligator meat, another Georgian specialty. For the shopaholic, hit the boutiques and admire the Southern architecture and history that is so deeply ingrained in the city of Savannah.

And don’t forget about the museums and art galleries, perfect locations to admire the culture. If you’re in the market for some spooks, take a ghost tour around America’s most haunted city.
