From pop and rap to country and house, here’s a varied compilation of our team’s favorite tunes of the summer!
There’s nothing the AMP3 team likes more than jamming to our favorite music when we gather for our in-office Wednesday’s! We’ve had days where we’ve listened to an entire album on repeat … but artists made this impossible for us to do this summer considering how many hits have been released. We have no doubt that this was a huge summer for the music industry and to say we enjoyed every minute of it is an understatement!
Before we get into everyone’s individual pick … our overall team pick WITHOUT A DOUBT is Sabrina Carpenter, ‘Please, Please, Please’ . Our entire team was calling dibs on this one so it’s only fair we all share!
Alyson’s Pick (CEO & Managing Partner) Taylor Swift, entire Tortured Poets Department album
It’s been a long time since I’ve loved listening to an entire album start to finish and not just a single but I love so much of TTPD. Please don’t make me choose my favorite because they all offer something and the more I listen the more my favorites change, but if you twist my arm. I would choose “I can do it with a Broken Heart” because of the subtle sarcasm. In our industry, we often have to suck it up and put on a happy face because the show must go on, and as a fellow storyteller, I really appreciate the juxtaposition between the peppy tone of the song and the depth of the lyrics. Wow, that’s us team, we always hit our marks!

Ashley’s Pick (Executive Vice President) Chappel Roan, ‘HOT TO GO!’
I feel like Chappell Roan is the artist of the summer and this song in particular is a total earworm. I find myself chanting H-O-T-T-O-G-O in my head all the time and I love it!

Megan’s Pick (Senior Account Director) Shaboozey, ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’
As soon as I heard a preview of this song on TikTok, I was hooked. It’s an instant serotonin boost and it’s been on repeat all summer long, I can’t get enough.

There’s no better way to celebrate summer than with the new queen of country!

I love this song because I first heard it in the car with my friends driving to my best friends bachelorette weekend!! And it was Memorial Day weekend so the summer hype was at an all time high!

It’s my song of the summer because it’s ‘brat summer’ and it fits perfectly on any summer playlist. The remix with Lorde is my favorite version of the song!

We haven’t stopped playing Billie’s new album since it dropped! It’s such a beautiful song <3.

I love this song not only because I’m ‘Team Hottie,’ but I really enjoy when different cultures come together to create something that brings people together from across the globe. I never thought I’d learn to rap lyrics in Japanese – but now I do!

Leah’s Pick (Account Coordinator, Social Media) Taylor Swift, ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’
Not only did Taylor kick back up the Era’s Tour in Europe for the summer, she also released the TTPD just before the summer hit, and officially included TTPD in her setlist, with ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’ as one of the highlight performances. Fans quickly gravitated towards the song when the album dropped so it was recently released as the second single, so of course it’s the song of the summer!!

It’s the best song to blast while driving on a summer day with the windows down and an iced coffee in hand!!

There’s a refreshing, almost ‘carbonated’, feeling to the song that I absolutely love. Especially when I find myself on long walks, under the hot, sweltering sun, against the background of the bustling city, the song makes me feel like I’ve discovered the secret to eternal youth.

Up All Night is my song of the summer because it features the ultimate trio – Noah Kahan, The Lumineers, and James Bay. It’s a great feel good song and radiates happy energy.

Now mine! … Camila’s Pick (Intern) Adam Port, Styv, Keinemusik, ‘Move’
I’ve been loving house music recently and this beat definitely got me the most motivated when I was training for my first 5k in the summer heat. It also has the versatility of getting me the most motivated whenever I’m in the midst of getting ready for fun plans with friends. I absolutely love this song and will forever remind me of the summer before my senior year of college!
