AMP3 Leads Launch Party

In September, AMP3 coordinated and managed an event for Wrangler and Fred Segal in celebration of Wrangler’s Fall 2019 Capsule Collection available exclusively at Fred Segal Sunset and fredsegal.com. At the Fred Segal Sunset Store in LA, the event gave guests an opportunity to view and shop the exclusive collection, which tells the story of Wrangler through the decades.

The event featured complimentary customized clothing for guest’s denim purchases including layering which featured designs by L.A. Tatoo artist Pashur and customized chain stitching by FT. Lonesome. What’s an event without food and drinks? Throughout the night, the Specialty Tito’s vodka, Pendleton Whisky, and Coding Tequila cocktails were poured and popcorn & fair foods were served by the catering carnival. Attendees danced the night away to a DJ set by DJ Lindsay Luv and enjoyed a live performance by folk duo, Shovels & Rope.

This launch comes as part of a larger partnership between the two brands that will continue into 2020. Shop the current collection: HERE

About the Capsule Collection

The Wrangler X Fred Segal capsule collection is a celebration of Wrangler’s legacy through the years, pulling inspiration directly from the Wrangler archives and culminating in four distinct mini-collections within the capsule that pull cues from four influential eras of fashion: The Blue Bell Overall Company of 1919, War & Peace 60’s, Psychedelic 70’s and 80’s Racing.

Defying the changing tides of time is no small feat, but Wrangler has been a force to be reckoned with since the very beginning. In celebration of the legacy that defines the brand today, this collection pulls inspiration straight from our archives and takes cue from four distinct eras that testify to our cultural influence as a whole – the Blue Bell Overall Company of 1919, War & Peace ‘60s, Psychedelic ‘70s, and ‘80s Racing.

In keeping with tradition, Wrangler employed nothing but the highest-quality materials and craftsmanship to bring each capsule to life. Many of the pieces in this collection are proudly made in the USA of Cone Denim fabric and manufactured at our production facility right here in our hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. We all have history. Pay tribute to yours by shopping all the timeless styles you love, exclusively at Fred Segal.

Wrangler Timeline

1919: Although the name you know and love today was acquired in 1947, Wrangler can trace its roots back to the emerging textile mills of Greensboro, North Carolina, where the Blue Bell Overall Company was born. This archive-inspired capsule, “Bluebell 1919,” celebrates the foundation of our brand – from the laborers who wore our first coveralls to the talented tradespeople who made them. A legacy brought about by legends.

1960s: As one of the most culturally complex periods in recent past, the Sixties were simultaneously unpredictable and pervaded by infectious optimism. It was during this decade that Wrangler became the definitive brand of youth culture, with garments worn by revolutionaries, riders, and rock stars alike. Every design in this collection, “War & Peace,” captures a monumental moment in time – one longing for change.

1970s: Empowered by the appeal of protest and the promise of progress, the Seventies was a decade defined by bold experimentation. This psychedelic age introduced a new cultural landscape, which frequently blurred the lines between art, fashion, and music. Through flirty flare fits, hypnotic patterns, and colorful prints, this capsule, “Psychedelic,” highlights the exhilarating sound and style of the extraordinary disco era.

1980s: With an attitude impacted by the pulse of pop culture, the Eighties ushered in an era where style reigned supreme. Wrangler answered the
call of this legendary decade in denim with front-row seats at top racetracks, leading the racing craze with booty shorts, graphic tees, and the Wrangler Jean Machine. This collection, “Racing,” pays tribute to all the powerful fashions of this unparalleled time in history.
