Trey Morgan

Z100 Radio Personality & Philanthropist

About Trey Morgan:

Trey Morgan is a national radio personality best known as the “voice of now” on NYC’s Z100 radio station. Trey recently embarked on a 30 day philanthropic challenge entitled “30 Deeds, 30 Days” wherein he attempted to work for 30 different charitable organizations over the course of the 30 days in September, all while holding down his day job at Z100 and maintaining his relationship with his wife, Brooke.

The client came to AMP3 PR with an idea for a philanthropic challenge at the end of July and the first thing we did was help to fully form the challenge idea and set time constraints. Deciding to start on September 1st, we immediately set forth pulling together the volunteer schedule and pitching the idea to the media. The client was both committed to the philanthropic pursuit, but also interested in using the challenge to raise his media profile in the entertainment world, so we split our focus between news media, entertainment media, and philanthropic media (both regional and national).

After the completion of the 30 Deeds, 30 Days initiative, we conceptualized a celebration and viewing party of the documentary that Trey had been filming throughout the experience. The event was held at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater, and we brought on, ‘the good news site,’ as the official media sponsor. We had the senior editor of conduct a live Q&A session with Trey after the screening to increase the excitement of the event and to generate additional press coverage. We also worked with venue staff on the execution of the event, secured both food and liquor sponsors, and put together an exclusive guest list of approximately 100 local movers & shakers for the event.

Ultimately, we worked to help the client turn the 30 Deeds, 30 Days experience into both a book and a potential reality show. In order to assist, we created a reality TV treatment for potential network producers and we also pitched the book idea to editors and literary agents in NYC.
