Nolcha Fashion Week Announces SS14 Designer Lineup

AMP3 PR is excited to announce that Nolcha Fashion Week: New York presented by RUSK has published its’ official calendar of events for September 2014 New York Fashion Week.  Nolcha Fashion Week will run September 10th – 12th, 2013.  The week will include runway presentations, an exclusive blogger brunch, fashion lounge, after-parties, networking events, and an official fashion week closing party.

Continuing into their sixth consecutive year, and held simultaneously with Mercedes-Benz Fashion week, Nolcha is one of New York’s leading platforms for independent fashion designers.  This season they’ll be showcasing over 30 designers.

Wednesday, September 11, will serve as the main day of runway shows, to be presented for the third season in a row at the illustrious Pier 59 on 18th Street and the West Side Highway. Shows will take place at 1:30pm, 4:30pm, and 7:30pm. The Nolcha Fashion Lounge will follow on Thursday, September 12 at YOTEL.

Presenting brands range from Nina Athanasiou (haute couture) to Oiselle (athletic wear), and Maita Marimo (womenswear) to Karo (swimwear). Other returning favorites include: Danilo Gabrielli, Tess Johnson, Mariana Valentina, and The Vanity Project (organic t-shirts with a cause).

AMP3 PR Adds ‘A Taste Of Iceland’ To The Client Roster

AMP3 PR has added A Taste Of Iceland to the client roster.

A Taste of Iceland, presented by Iceland Naturally, is a multi-day event that celebrates Iceland’s food, music, and culture.  In the past, the festival has been held in different cities around the U.S.. October 2013 will mark the festivals first year in New York City. Get a taste of what life is like in Iceland while you enjoy the best of the country’s food, culture, and lifestyle through events held around NYC.

A special Icelandic menu will be available at ACME restaurant in the East Village.  The menu will be prepared by in house chef, Mads Refslund, and guest Icelandic chef, Gunnar Karl Gislason.

The Reykjavik Calling concert will be held on Ocotber 5th at Le Poisson Rouge. The concert will feature collaborations between Icelandic and NYC based musicians and will start at 6:30pm.

AMP3 Clients Cat Footwear & Tyler Hilton Partner Up

At AMP3 PR, we love it when our clients have synergy!

Earlier this month, our Footwear client, Cat Footwear, announced a new addition to their Earthmovers Campaign: recording artist (and also an AMP3 client), Tyler Hilton.

In keeping with the Caterpillar Inc. brand, the Earthmovers Campaign celebrates individuals who positively impact the world around them and who “move the earth” in their everyday lives. Dedicated, confident, and bold, an Earthmover is an individual who embodies the brand’s tradition of hard work and fearlessness.

A native of sunny Palm Springs, California, Tyler Hilton is a singer, songwriter and actor. The son of an electrical contractor and a teacher, Hilton grew up in a musically inclined family, where he took to playing guitar and singing at a very young age. After releasing an independent self-titled album in 2004, he was signed to Warner Bros. Records and put out his first major-label album the same year he made his acting debut starring in the CW’s “One Tree Hill,” and later as Elvis Presley in the Johnny Cash biopic, “Walk The Line.”

Yet, while his cover songs appeared on the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack for “Walk The Line,” and his originals aired on “One Tree Hill”, Hilton had yet to release another full-length album. After a series of attempted new releases were thwarted by the major label scene, Hilton opted to leave his record deal to finally release his much-anticipated third studio album in 2012, “Forget The Storm,” through his own label, Hooptie Tune Records, marking his first independent full-length release in 8 years. Today, Hilton is busy touring the U.S., Canada and Europe, sharing the new material with his fans.

“When we first heard about Tyler’s story,” says Kelly Ballou, USA Marketing Manager for Cat Footwear, “We loved his independent, pioneering spirit, and that he refused to let anyone dictate how or what his musical career should be. Tyler’s boldness really personifies what an Earthmover is.”

“When I learned that to Cat Footwear, an Earthmover is someone who inspires the world through dedication and commitment to their craft, I was really honored,” says Hilton, “It has been a challenging couple of years and I had to take a big risk and leave a lot behind to start my own label. Without all the rules and red tape, I’m now able to write honest Americana Rock n’ Roll and be much closer to who I really am. It’s so cool to be acknowledged for that.”

RECAP: Magnifico Giornata Infused Essence Collection Launch Party

On Wednesday, April 3rd, AMP3 client Magnifico Giornata launched their new sparkling wine infused essence collection with an invite-only party hosted by VH1’s Carrie Keagan, a partner in the brand. The event was held at the coveted Beaumarchais in New York’s meatpacking district, a venue known for their extravagant weekend brunch parties. Guests began arriving at 8pm and were greeted with glasses of Magnifico Giornata. Each of the essences were available for guests to sample and enjoy, including: Ginger Pêche, Grapefruit Blanc, and Lavender Honey. In addition to passed hors d’oeuvres, a pairing table was arranged so that guests could pair small bites created specially to compliment each of the essences. When guests weren’t sampling the product, they were enjoying tunes spun by renowned New York DJ, Jeffrey Tonnesen. At 8:30pm, Carrie Keagan formerly kicked off the event by saying a few words about the brand. She then introduced the 1st of 3 performances by burlesque troop Nuit Blanche. Known for their provocative performances, and with sparklers in hand, they did not disappoint. At the end of the soiree, Magnifico Giornata’s CEO Bob Manfredonia capped off the evening with a brief thank you speech. On the way out, guests were treated to complimentary gift bags featuring two bottles of Magnifico Giornata and decadent truffles to take home. The event marked the official launch of Magnifico Giornata in the Greater New York Area. The collection will be available at a suggested retail price of $24.99 a bottle in finer liquor stores and lounges throughout the city, and will roll-out to other key markets in the U.S. during 2013.
