The co-founders of Splash.FM came to AMP3 PR when the product was in its infancy. Their goal was to springboard the platform outside of their existing college following, and to attract the attention of venture capitalists in the tech space, so we quickly created a strategy that would get them noticed in that scene.
We manufactured a public launch date to move them out of alpha and into beta, whereby users had to have an invite to get in to see the platform in action. We arranged for an exclusive with TechCrunch, where the first 500 TechCrunch readers were given the private access code. We then gave top music and technology editors the opportunity for an access code and exclusive demo of the platform.
Ultimately, this resulted in interviews and press with TechCrunch, Billboard, Skope, Music Ally, Tech Geek News, Alan Cross, Billboard.biz, Under 30 CEO, Gear Diary, Rhythm Mobile, The Technology Café, Joonbug, Tech Cocktail, Evolver.FM, Hypebot, Gizmodo, UrbanDaddy and Rolling Stone.
