Tips for Tech Start-Ups in New York City

Last night, social networking news site, Mashable.com, held their 2nd event in a series called NextUp NYC on “Lessons From the Local Internet Start-Up Community.”

Panelists included Philip James & Mark Angelillo of Snooth.com, Melanie Notkin of SavvyAuntie.com, Michael Galpert of Aviary.com, Scott Belsky of Behance.com and Editor-in-Chief of Mashable.com, Adam Ostrow.

Adam asked the panel what they loved about being a tech startup in New York City (as compared to any other location in the world) and what followed was an enthusiastic response from all of the panelists with an optimism for the growing Internet community in New York which lacks the “bubble-like” atmosphere of their counterparts over in Silicon Valley.
